The Easy Engine software allows users of MJ Research PTC-200, PTC-221 or PTC-225 DNA Engines to bi-directional communicate and remote control (a network of) DNA Engines by a personal computer. It offers great flexibility in creating and editing program, monitoring running programs, data logging, analysis. Hard copying offers run trace ability which are a necessity and strongly recommended in ISO, GMP, GLP and other quality programs. Communication is established through either the computer’s serial port(s) or additional installed interface cards.

Designing, creating and editing programs is done graphically and is visualized immediately. Programs can also be displayed as a text listing. Copy, cut and paste is performed like the usual windows feature. Easy Engine supports exchanging programs between PTC and PC, PTC and PTC, PC and PC. Programs can be stored on the PTC, on the local computer and even on your local network.

Running programs on every device in the configuration can be monitored. The monitor window gives information about, actual temperatures, estimated running time and current device status. The information is supported by a real-time temperature graph. During monitoring a log file is automatically created, so relevant data and information will be logged to the file. This file can be used for trace ability and retrospective analysis.

A log file can be analyzed after a run is completed. The analysis section of Easy Engine shows all run, program and user information and the temperature graph data. A user can print a hardcopy of the analysis to a printer. All log file data are secured and can not be modified

To ensure optimum security 3 different types of user operation levels are available: administrator, controller and user. Depending on the type of level users are restricted to certain operations, e.g., a controller can create and edit programs, but has no access to system configuration.

Easy Engine features a service section that checks your device’s performance. Your (local) distributor can provide you with an access code and Easy Engine will run a Performance Test on a selected device. During this test relevant data are logged to a specific file. The distributor can analyze the information in this file which can be incorporated in Customer Care programs with the use of Easy DAS®. software.
