    STEP 7: Hardware detection

    1. Start Easy Engine as described in step 6. 2. Log in (for instance with username ‘Admin’ and password ‘Fabi’). 3. When the program is started, a hardware detection will be performed. If Easy Engine detects hardware, you will be prompted with the following question 4. If you answer ‘yes’, you will have to enter an engine number and a license code like below. The engine number can be found at the back of the engine and will look like EN378892. For a license code please contact your Easy Engine distributor. 5. Next the alpha unit(s) serial number(s) are requested by Easy Engine. An Alpha Unit serial number looks like AL348932 and can be found at the back of the Alpha Unit. NOTE : For a PTC-225 (Tetrad) you will have to enter four serial numbers. These are requested in a logical order, so first Quadrant 1 then Quadrant 2 etc. 6. Finally a user-friendly description has to be entered e.q "John's PTC-200". This description makes it easier for users who work with multiple devices to find the device they want to work with. 7. This procedure will be performed for every device you wish to add to your configuration. There is only one exception and that is a PTC-221. This DNA Engine will be detected as two separate devices. For more information on hardware detection and configuration, please read the Easy Engine help file. 8. Have fun working with the Easy Engine software.
